Coraline has always been dear to my heart, from the story to its visual representation. This melancholic and disguising film has reached so many since its creation. Within my work I aspire to create similar visuals and stories in relation to my work.
A project with the intentions of creating a piece of myself into tangible piece of work. This is my first true piece of metalsmithing work.
This piece changed my life for the better, and flipped a switch in my brain, opening a new door in my journey as an artist.
We never think that the objects we create can truly change us quite this dramatically but I find this piece my exception.
It is my goal to carry the inspiration I’ve found in this piece to every piece I create in the future and to look for the same level of excellence in my attentiveness.

When speaking about firsts, this is my true first. A sterling silver ring, with a sandblasted and a liver of sulfur finish. It may not be perfect its in entirety but it helps to remind me that we all start somewhere and this is my start.
